The Jeweler's Philosophy

Lifestyle Design and How It Can Change Your Life! Pt2

Episode Summary

This is the second part of a longer recorded rant from 12/11/2020. In this episode I talk about the implementation of this idea of “Lifestyle Design”. I first heard of this from Tim Farris’s book the 4-hour work week. Tim talks about it in the sense of travel, though in this episode I’m looking at it holistically. I talk about how we as artist can use it in a multitude of ways to improve our lives. The main underlying idea is that we all waste so much time. If we streamline our time-wasting activities, we can utilize that time in different capacities. As artists this found time could be used to create new work, research a new project, spend time with our family, travel, or do pretty much anything else you could possibly think of. It’s worth noting, that since this was recorded, I have put this idea into action in my life. I’m currently sitting in quarantine in Bangkok Thailand. This shit works if you believe it can and you take the steps to make the things you want to happen. Enjoy! Mark Farrell “The Jeweler”
